2009: Played in 25 games, started in 21... was 2nd on the team and 5th in the MIAA with an ERA of 2.57... led the team and placed 2nd in the MIAA in wins (150) and innings pitched (138)... also led the team and placed 2nd in the MIAA with 113 strikeouts...tied for 1st on team with a perfect fielding percentage...tied for 5th in the MIAA with 3 shutouts...tied for 1st in the MIAA with 17 complete games... held opponents to a batting average of .260, placing her 4th in the MIAA... earned First-team All-MIAA Honors... named MIAA Pitcher of the Week for week number 6

2008: Named to All-MIAA first team ... ERA of 2.38 ... tied for second in MIAA for wins with 12 ... first on the team and in the MIAA for strikeouts with 108, an average of 5.83/game ... Tied for first in the MIAA for saves with 2 ... First in the MIAA for shutouts with 8 ...

High School: Played for the Vikings under coach Tom Kennelly in the Tri-Valley Central Conference ... Won Regionals in 2007 and was named All-State that same year ... Was twice honored as being a member of the Michigan Dream Team.

Students learn important leadership principles from internationally recognized speakers like Madeleine Albright and Vicente Fox and by participating in international study opportunities through inventive programs like the Center for Responsible Leadership and the Posey Global Leadership Fellows Program.

Dennis Griffin

Dennis Griffin

Denny Griffin is heading into his 27th year at Alma College and his 20th at the helm of the Scots softball program. He moved into the head softball coaching position in 1989 after two years as assistant coach. His teams have never fallen lower than third place in conference standings and 12 of his last 14 teams have qualified for the NCAA Tournament.

In addition to his softball duties, Griffin is the program director for the Athletic Training Education Program. He teaches first aid/CPR and sports medicine classes in the Exercise and Health Science Department.
