SOFTBALL: Bats Stay Quiet in 7-0 Season Ending Loss to Coe College

May 9, 2008

After a season full of solid run production, the Alma College Softball Team (25-13) saw their bats go quiet in the NCAA Regional Tournament as they managed to record only two hits in both games and were knocked out of contention today by Coe College (32-15) by the score of 7-0.

Freshman pitcher Tara Leddy (Saginaw/Swan Valley) got some useful experience today as she went the distance for the Scots, pitching a 10 hit, seven run, complete game in falling to 12-7 on the year.

Senior Missy Morcom (Chelsea) and junior Trista-Lynne Geier (West Bloomfield/Walled Lake Western) each recorded one of the two Scots hits in the game that saw only six Alma College baserunners.
