SOFTBALL: Scots Take Two, Increase Winning Streak to Nine

April 2, 2008

Behind outstanding pitching and solid offensive production, the Alma College Scots (14-5, 4-0) beat the Adrian Bulldogs (6-11, 0-2) 4-1, 5-1 to improve their winning streak to nine in a row and stay undefeated in MIAA play.

Katie Koechling (Wheaton, Ill./North) pitched absolutely lights out on her way to her sixth win of the season. Koechling allowed only three hits and one run, while striking out one on her way to the complete game win.

Amy Gaudard (Mt. Pleasant) and Trista-Lynn Geier (West Bloomfield/Walled Lake Western) provided most of the offensive fire power for the Maroon and Cream going two for three and one for three respectively and each knocking in a pair of runs.
