SOFTBALL: Sarah Johnson Named to NCAA All-Tournament Team

Alma, Mi.- The New Concord Regional All-Tournament Team was released after play ended yesterday and Alma College freshman Sarah Johnson (Portland/Portland) was selected to the team as the designated/utility player.

Sarah led the Scots in batting average (.429) and RBIs (3) during their three game stint at the NCAA Regional Tournament.  Johnson, who has also seen action at third base, has been a solid contributor as a freshman for the Scots all year. She will be one of the key returning players who will be charged with bringing another MIAA Championship home next year.

Alma is one of only 100 colleges and universities to be named to the Templeton Honor Roll in the Templeton Guide: Colleges That Encourage Character Development.
