Washington Monthly, in its 2010 review of colleges and universities, ranked Alma College 41st nationally in the liberal arts category—the highest ranking of any Michigan liberal arts college. The publication also ranked Alma College fourth in the nation in community service participation.

Dennis Griffin

Dennis Griffin

Denny Griffin moved into the head softball coaching position in 1989 after two years as assistant coach. In his 23-year span as head coach, he has amassed an overall record of 704-240.

His career wins rank him in the top ten of the most winningest Division III coaches of all-time.

In addition to his softball duties, Griffin is the program director for the Athletic Training Education Program. He teaches clinical classes in the Integrative Physiology and Health Science Department.
