Scots Tennis Picks Up First MIAA Win of Season in 7-2 Win Against Bulldogs
BLUFFTON, OHIO - Alma College men's tennis improved to 10-2 on the season, defeating Adrian College 7-2 late Saturday (Mar. 17) when the MIAA foes squared off at Bluffton College.
Alma saw the doubles team of Chris Noel (Wyandotte/Roosevelt) and Dan Fraser (Lexington/Cros-Lex) win 8-5 at the one spot and Josh Sanders (Warren/Fitzgerald) and Tom Hardin (Traverse City/Central) win at two doubles. Noel was successful at one singles 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 defeating Mike Douglas. Josh Sanders, Alex Montoye (Mt. Pleasant), Hardin and David Bechtold (Idaho Falls/Skyline) each picked up individual wins at three, four, five and six singles.
It is the sixth consecutive win for Alma men's tennis. They return to action March 20 when the team travels to Albion College to face the Britons at 3 p.m.
