SCOTLAND YARD NEWS: Approaching mid-season
We’re nearly midway through the conference season, and it’s clear that things have not gone as we planned thus far. Despite all of our efforts on the pitch, we’re still struggling to find the back of the net, and defend as a team for the full 90 minutes. However, the guys continue to work relentlessly in practice. With each new training session, the guys show promise and resolve towards improving and producing results. And our energy level and work ethic cannot be questioned, as well as the camaraderie on the team.
In addition, recent injuries and illnesses have allowed a handful of guys from the reserve team to see some good minutes on the field with the varsity squad. In fact, a few of guys will have seen 6 games in 8 days in the coming week as they dress for both the varsity and reserve squads. As we enter the midpoint of the conference season, we’re also staring at a string of road games, including Hope, Adrian, and Calvin before returning home to host Albion.
