MEN'S SOCCER: Scots Test Hope, Battle to a 0-2 Loss

Oct. 6, 2007

The Alma College Men's Soccer Team played Hope College hard today but could not get their offense going, fall to the Dutchmen 0-2.

The Scots were without leading scorer and team leader Mark Daisy (Mt. Pleasant/Mt. Pleasant) who came up lame during warm ups. Without Daisy in the lineup, the stats show that the Scots only had two shots on goal the entire game.

Although the Scots lost today, they have continued to show that they can compete with the best in the MIAA and that they are close to being a contender for the MIAA Championship.

The Scots hit the road for Albion College on Tuesday Oct. 9. The match is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.

The Alma College Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team claimed its eighth consecutive regional championship at the SIFE USA Regional Competition in March 2008. The competition awards the SIFE teams that are most effective in teaching the principals of market economics through outreach projects in their communities.
