MEN'S SOCCER: Mark Daisy Named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week

  

MIAA Offensive Player of the Week - Junior Mark Daisy (Mt. Pleasant/Mt. Pleasant) 

Alma, Mi.- Alma College junior Mark Daisy (Mt. Pleasant/Mt. Pleasant) was named the MIAA Offensive Player of the Week (week #4) for his outstanding play, leading the Scots to a 2-0-1 record during the week.

Daisy scored two goals against Holy Cross College last Sunday in a 5-2 win for the Scots and added two goals and an assist in a big win against Adrian College on Tuesday. His play helped the Scots grab their first two wins of the season and gain some momentum heading into the rest of the MIAA schedule. 

 

Alma College has phenomenal 90 percent placement rates into medical and law schools, compared to a national average of 46.6 percent for medical school placement. More than 90 percent of all Alma graduates report working in full-time positions or attending graduate school within six months of graduation.

Nathan Kronewetter

Alma College men’s soccer is in the process of rebuilding a once dominating program, and has made strides under the direction of Nathan Kronewetter who was hired before the 2006 season.

Kronewetter earned his bachelor of arts from Hope College in 1996 in Studio Art and continued his studies at Ohio Wesleyan University in Education. A four-year player and three-year starter for the Flying Dutchmen, he served as a senior captain in 1996. Nathan led Hope to three MIAA Championships and two NCAA playoff berths including an NCAA quarterfinal appearance in 1994.
