Alma Picks Up 3-1 Win On the Road at Olivet

OLIVET, Mich. - Alma College men's soccer picked up its second win in conference play with a 3-1 win against Olivet this afternoon.

Mark Daisy (Mt. Pleasant), Kevin Cross (Columbus, Ohio/Thomas Worthington) and Dan Laatz (Cedar Springs) each scored goals in the win and Daisy added an assist. Another assist came courtesy of Ben Queen (Royal Oak/Shrine).

The Scots return to action Nov. 4 when they host Albion at Scotland Yard in the final game of the regular season.

 

Alma College is among the six percent of all colleges and universities in the nation to hold membership in The Phi Beta Kappa Society, the nation’s oldest and most prestigious undergraduate honors organization.

Nathan Kronewetter

Alma College men’s soccer is in the process of rebuilding a once dominating program, and has made strides under the direction of Nathan Kronewetter who was hired before the 2006 season.

Kronewetter earned his bachelor of arts from Hope College in 1996 in Studio Art and continued his studies at Ohio Wesleyan University in Education. A four-year player and three-year starter for the Flying Dutchmen, he served as a senior captain in 1996. Nathan led Hope to three MIAA Championships and two NCAA playoff berths including an NCAA quarterfinal appearance in 1994.
