Mark Daisy, Nick Kost, Isaac Smith Earn MIAA Honorable Mention

ALMA, Mich. - Alma men’s soccer struggled in 2005, ending the season with a 3-15 overall record and a 2-12 mark in MIAA action.

But a highlight came today as the MIAA announced its recognition for the season.

Mark Daisy (Mt. Pleasant), Nick Kost (Holt) and Isaac Smith (Wheeler/Merrill) each earned MIAA Coaches’ Honorable Mention for the season. Daisy led the team with 11 goals while Kost added three goals and three assists. Smith continued to anchor the Alma defense and managed to score one goal from his defender position.

The Corporation for National and Community Service named Alma College to the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll With Distinction for exemplary service efforts and service to disadvantaged youth. The Honor Roll is the highest federal recognition a school can achieve for its commitment to service-learning and civic engagement.
