MIAA SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT: Tri-State Wins MIAA Championship and Earns AQ to NCAA Regionals
Tri-State finished their undefeated roll through the MIAA Tournament with a 5-3 win over Hope College to earn the outright MIAA Championship and a place at the NCAA Regionals.

Alma couldn't recover from the heart breaking loss the night before as they fell today to the Flying Dutch by the score of 4-0.

The Thunder needed every out they had in the game to beat the Scots as they got a two run double with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to beat Alma 2-1.

MIAA SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT: Hope Eliminates Saint Mary's, 7-1
Hope College knocked out the #2 seed Saint Mary's Belles by the score of 7-1 to stay alive in the tournament.

MIAA SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT: Scots Beat Hope 4-0
The Alma College Scots took down Hope College by the score of 4-0 in game two of the MIAA Tournament.

MIAA SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT: Tri-State Wins Game 1, Defeats Saint Mary's 6-3
In the first game of the MIAA Softball Championshp Tournament, the Tri-State Thunder defeated the Saint Mary's College Belles 6-3.

 

Alma’s “green” residence hall, Wright Hall, was completed in January 2005. The modern, 60-bed apartment-style hall features a number of environmentally friendly features, including geothermal heating and cooling, recycled-content ceiling tiles and carpeting, energy-efficient windows, rooftop solar heating panels, energy-efficient showers and washing machines, and a computerized energy monitoring system.

Jim Cole '74 enters his 17th season at the helm of the Scots. In 2004, Cole led the Scots to the MIAA title and a berth in the NCAA Division III national playoffs, the second time in three years the Maroon and Cream advanced to the NCAA postseason.

A former All-MIAA and All-District quarterback for the Scots, Cole draws on the championship experiences of playing for the 1970, '71 and '72 MIAA co-champions and coaching the 1988 co-champ's defense.

Cole sports a career mark of 94-60-0, placing him tied in all-time wins at the College with Brooks (94-86-0, 20 seasons).
