Men's Golf

MENS GOLF FINISHES EIGHTH AT JAMBOREE

Alma's Men's Golf team competed in the MIAA Jamboree at Watermark Golf Club on Monday, hosted by Calvin College, and finished eighth with a score of 339. Olivet College won the competition with a final score of 307.

The big highlight of the afternoon was a hole-in-one by Jake Baltimore on a Par 3, 140-yard hole. The day saw Brian Rabedioux lead the Scots with a score of 82 that tied him for 28th, followed by Bryan McKenney, who finished with a score of 84, good for 33rd.

Alma also had finishers at the 35th spot (Aaron Martin - 86), Baltimore at 36th (87) and Chris Pronick, who finished 40th with a 92.

 

 

The Corporation for National and Community Service named Alma College to the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll in both 2008 and 2009 for exemplary service efforts and service to disadvantaged youth. The Honor Roll is the highest federal recognition a school can achieve for its commitment to service-learning and civic engagement.

Nathan Kronewetter

Alma College men’s soccer is in the process of rebuilding a once dominating program, and has made strides under the direction of Nathan Kronewetter who was hired before the 2006 season.

Kronewetter earned his bachelor of arts from Hope College in 1996 in Studio Art and continued his studies at Ohio Wesleyan University in Education. A four-year player and three-year starter for the Flying Dutchmen, he served as a senior captain in 1996. Nathan led Hope to three MIAA Championships and two NCAA playoff berths including an NCAA quarterfinal appearance in 1994.
