ALMA SCOTS TO HOST FIRST MIAA MEN'S GOLF JAMBOREE ON SATURDAY

The Alma Men's Golf team will host the first 2008 MIAA Golf Jamboree on Saturday at Pine River Country Club in Alma.  The competition commences at 1:00 p.m. and it begins the conference golf schedule, one in which has Hope College looking to defend their 2007 Championship crown.

The Scots are looking to improve upon a fifth-place MIAA finish in 2007 and hope that by hosting the first tournament of the year, it will give them an advantage to carry them through the 2008 season.

Since 2003, twenty-seven Alma College students have won prestigious national fellowships, scholarships and awards, including 15 Fulbright fellowships and multiple Truman, Udall, and Gates-Cambridge scholarships.
