MEN'S GOLF: Scots Finish 5th in FInal MIAA Jamboree

Oct. 6, 2007

The Alma College Men's Golf Team finished their season with a fifth place finish at the final MIAA Jamboree hosted by Tri-State. With the finish, the Scots ended the year in fifth place overall and had two players earn MIAA Second Team Honors.

Freshman Matt Kohler (Flushing/Flushing) put up the best score of the day for the Scots posting a cool 73. David Moilanen (Brighton/Brighton) shot a 75 and Kyle Travis (Shepherd/Shepherd) recorded a 78.

When all the tallies were in, Travis and teammate Evan Kay (St. Albert, Alberta/Paul Kane) had scored well enough to be honored as part of the All-MIAA Second Team. Kay also earned the special honor of receiving the first ever MIAA Sportsmanship Award for Men's Golf.
