Team Competes in Weekend Invitationals

The Alma men's golf team competed in the Ferris State Invitational on September 17 and the Tri-State Invitational on September 18.

The Alma College men's golf team scored a team total of 654 at the Ferris State Invitational. Individual 36-hole totals:

  • Nate Moulton – 174

Alma College men's golf team shot 318 to finish sixth at a contest hosted by Tri–State University at the Zollner Golf Course in Angola, Ind. Men's individual scores:

  • Ryan Riley – 77
  • Evan Kay – 79
  • Brandon McNally – 80
  • Chris Lowry – 82
  • Chad Vietzke – 83

Alternates scores:

  • Mike Yates – 75

The men's next tournament is at Kalamazoo College, Wednesday, September 22, at the Prairies Golf Course.

 

More than a third of all Alma students take part in at least one performance each year. The College offers majors in theatre, dance and music, but students of all majors may join in productions. The Remick Heritage Center for the Performing Arts is the region’s premiere performing arts facility.

 

Coach Profile

Judd Folske

Judd Folske

Judd Folske is entering his first year as Alma College Head Baseball Coach in the 2007-2008 season after spending two years as an assistant coach with the program. Coach Folske joined the Maroon and Cream in the fall of 2005 after stops at NCAA Division I Central Michigan University, and stints at Div. II schools Saginaw Valley State University and Ferris State University. He also serves the athletic department as assistant athletic director.

While head coach of the CMU Chippewas, Folske posted a 131-98 mark. In 2000, he finished in a tie for first in the MAC conference with a record of 41-17 (18-8). Folske retired after the 2003 season at CMU, and went to work as an assistant at SVSU, where he worked in that capacity for two seasons.
