ALMA MEN'S BASKETBALL FALLS TO ANDERSON COLLEGE 92-73
The Alma Scots Men’s Basketball team ventured on the road for the first time in 2008 but came out on the wrong end of a 92-73 score at Anderson College. The loss dropped the Scots to 0-2 on the season and they will next play at Michigan Tech University on Friday evening.Against Anderson, the Scots fell into a 47-27 halftime hole that was hard to dig out of and although the second half was almost even, Alma fell short at the end. G Terry Brown led all Scots scorers with 12 points, while F Alex Hancock added 11 points and a team-high nine rebounds.
G Jordan Redditt had nine points for the Scots while G Brandon Binkley led Alma with four assists.
Head Coach Terry Smith played 13 players in the game as he is in the early stages of his evaluation of what exactly he has for the 2008-09 season. After the Tech game, Alma will play Northern Michigan on Saturday afternoon.
The next home game for the Scots is November 25 against Concordia College, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Cappaert Gymnasium.
