MEN'S BASKETBALL: Scots Give Albion More Than They Wanted, Fell In the End 84-74
Feb. 23, 2008
In the regular season finale, the Alma College Men's Basketball Team (3-20, 3-11) faced off against the Brits of Albion College (18-5, 12-2), and in a game a lot closer than the final score, fell to the number two team in the MIAA by the score 84-74.
As was seen throughout the Scots' first year under Head Coach Terry Smith, Alma played hard all game and gave themselves a chance late but came up just short against very solid competition.
Freshman Jordan Redditt (Detroit) continued to impress in today's game as he put up a career high 30 points on 11-16 from the field and 5-6 from three point range. Senior Josh Shattuck (Spring Lake) contributed 16 of his own behind four three pointers in the game. Junior Matt Brown (Midland) continued doing work for the Maroon and Cream as he piled up 17 points and led the team with six boards.
The Scots will be back in action on Wednesday for the opening round of the MIAA Tournament. Check back for details.
