MEN'S BASKETBALL: Scots Come Up Short Against High Powered Elmhurst
Jan. 6, 2008
In their first action of the new year, the Scots (0-9) traveled to Elmhurst College (10-1) to play a talented squad and came home with a 65-79 loss.
Head Coach Terry Smith continued to use his high tempo, heavy subbing approach that has kept the team energized and has provided playing time and opportunity for many of the young Scots and was seen tonight as 13 players saw action, eight of them getting double digit minutes in the loss.
Leading the way for the Scots was talented freshman Jordan Redditt (Detroit) who led the Scots with 18 points in 18 minutes of play. Junior Matt Brown (Midland) continued to be a force inside for the Scots, scoring 17 points before fouling out of the game.
Alma opens its conference schedule on Wednesday as they will take on the Hornets of Kalamazoo in an 8:00 p.m. tip-off.
