MEN'S BASKETBALL: Scots Open Some Eyes, Battle Ferris to 43-47 Loss

Nov. 21, 2007

Alma, Mi.- In a game that most close to the programs thought might be a blow out of a DIII school by a DII, the Alma College Scots had a different opinion and came out and put a scare into the Ferris State Bulldogs that lasted 35 plus minutes until Ferris came from behind to pull out the 47-43 win.

The Scots the entire first half and took a 28-16 lead into the half. However, the Bulldogs didn't give up and showed composure at the end of the game allowing them to squeak out the four point victory.

David McNally (Detroit/Winans Academy) and Sam Machuta (Mt. Pleasant/Mt. Pleasant) both had 11 points for the Scots, leading the team in scoring. Junior Matt Brown (Midland/Midland) also played a solid game for the Scots, netting eight points and pulling in seven rebounds in the loss. Freshman Jordan Reditt (Detroit) continued to show promise for the Scots, scoring six points, leading the team with eight rebounds, and recording three assists.
