SATURDAY'S BASEBALL DOUBLEHEADER DELAYED UNTIL 2:30 P.M. AT KLENK PARK DUE TO WET FIELD CONDITIONS

Today's doubleheader features a reunion of the 1999 Alma Baseball team and will be Senior Day for the departing 2009 student athletes.

Stephens trails a duo of Adrian players as he tries to capture the league hitting title. Todd Meyers enters today's twinbill at Olivet batting .455, while Alex Cowart stands at .475 on the year.

The 1999 team will be honored before the first game, while the Senior recognition will occur between the first and second contests.

The Corporation for National and Community Service named Alma College to the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll in both 2008 and 2009 for exemplary service efforts and service to disadvantaged youth. The Honor Roll is the highest federal recognition a school can achieve for its commitment to service-learning and civic engagement.

Judd Folske

Judd Folske

Judd Folske is entering his first year as Alma College Head Baseball Coach in the 2007-2008 season after spending two years as an assistant coach with the program. Coach Folske joined the Maroon and Cream in the fall of 2005 after stops at NCAA Division I Central Michigan University, and stints at Div. II schools Saginaw Valley State University and Ferris State University. He also serves the athletic department as assistant athletic director.

While head coach of the CMU Chippewas, Folske posted a 131-98 mark. In 2000, he finished in a tie for first in the MAC conference with a record of 41-17 (18-8). Folske retired after the 2003 season at CMU, and went to work as an assistant at SVSU, where he worked in that capacity for two seasons.
