BASEBALL: Errors and Walks Cost Scots in 18-6 Loss to Concordia

Feb. 25, 2008

The Alma College Baseball Team followed up an 18-12 loss with an 18-6 loss against Concordia on Monday. In the game, multiple errors and walks at the worst time, hamstringed the Scots efforts.

As the defense and pitching looks to improve, the Maroon and Cream offense has done a good job putting runs on the board.  One bright spot has been lead-off hitter Adam Carrick (Essexeville/Jackson C.C.) who went four for four with four singles. Ray Foley (New Hudson/South Lyon) added a hit and two RBI's and freshman Nick Townsend (Saint Claire Shores/DeLaSalle) and Joe Yourchock (Royal Oak) each batted in a run in the game.

The Scots return to action today as they face off against Rivier College.

More than a third of all Alma students take part in at least one performance each year. The College offers majors in theatre, dance and music, but students of all majors may join in productions. The Remick Heritage Center for the Performing Arts is the region's premiere performing arts facility.
