BASEBALL: Scots Lose 4-3, 13-2 in Final Double Header

The Scots had been playing good competitive baseball coming into this weekends double header against Kalamazoo College, and the 4-3 first game was indicative of that as Alma jumped out to an early 3-1 lead before giving up a three run fifth that turned out to be the difference in the ball game.

Sophomore John Fillmore (Midland) got the loss for the Scots as he gave up four runs on six hits in a complete game performance.

The Scots offense was led by Ray Foley (New Hudson/South Lyon) and Mike Slesinski (Milford). Foley went two for three with an RBI and Slesinski went one for three with an RBI and a run scored.

The second game of the double header was a mess from the start as the Scots depleated pitching staff did their best to piece together the game but gave up 13 runs 13 hits in the 13-2 loss.

Dan Merian (Milford) went two for four with an RBI for the Scots and Foley added another hit and RBI in a good days work.
