Alma College to Host Klenk Open to Benefit Athletic Hall of Fame

ALMA, Mich. - The Alma College Athletic Department hosts its annual alumni golf outing, the Klenk Open, June 11, 2005, to benefit the Alma College Athletic Department and Hall of Fame. The 2005 Hall of Fame induction ceremony is set for October 14, 2005 on the Alma College campus.

Cost for the Klenk Open is $120 per person, which includes golf, cart, lunch, dinner and gift packages for each participant. The four-person scramble awards first, second and third place prizes in addition to longest drive, closest to the pin and hole-in-one contests. A silent auction, 50-50 raffle and special prize drawings are scheduled throughout the event.

Proceeds from the Klenk Open are used to support Scots Athletics and the Athletic Hall of Fame. You also have the opportunity to designate additional gift money to the sport(s) of your choice. For tax purposes, $85.00 represents the overhead expense for the outing. Monies in excess of that amount are tax-deductible and will be gift-receipted to you.

Registration on June 11 will begin at 11 a.m., with a light lunch available beginning at 11:30 a.m. A 1 p.m. shot gun sets things off with a 6 p.m. dinner, silent auction and program. A cash bar will also be available.

To insure a slot for this year's outing, please contact the Alma College Alumni Office by May 15. Be sure to contact fellow Scots from your playing days and encourage them to participate! Any help you can give with regards to prizes or hole sponsorships through your work, golf club, or any other donations will be greatly appreciated.
