Stuart TenHoor '76
Stuart TenHoor '76 received one of the highest honors the NCAA gives out when he was named an NCAA Post-Graduate Scholar in 1976.
The award takes in account such factors as academic performance, athletic performance, and campus involvement.
Besides being one of the best students at Alma during his time, TenHoor also was a key member to the 1975-76 Alma College Basketball Team that went 6-6 in conference play and was one of the team's two members to be named to the All-MIAA First Team. TenHoor finished the season with the second most points in the league (214) and fifth most rebounds (111) on his way to nearly averaging a double-double, putting up 17.8 points per game and 9.3 rebounds.
TenHoor also helped the Scots hand the eventual conference champs Calvin College one of only two losses with their impressive 78-64 upset late in the season.
