  1. To reconnect with friends/faculty and reminisce about my time at Alma! –Mary Lou Ecken '95
  2. I return to Alma for homecoming almost every year because I love being on the campus. Seeing old friends is an important part of the weekend, of course, but just being there on the familiar and beautiful grounds brings back great memories. As I get older, I so enjoy seeing the old haunts and reminiscing about the good ol' days at Alma College. –Klo Phillippi '64
  3. Meet a close friend you haven't seen in 40 years, and within 5 minutes the years have vanished… –Don Fullenwider '65
  4. In addition to being a graduate of Alma College, I was born and raised in Alma, so it truly is homecoming! –Joel Kimball '88
  5. For me, homecoming is about gathering with special people to remember a significant time in our lives. It's about reliving old memories, and creating new ones. It's about coming home to Alma College. –Brian Bartes '87
  6. Where else can I come together with a group of special people who survived SAGA surprise meals, demanding courses, blue book exams, possibly pledging, dorm life, a "different" roommate or two, Pig Book Pictures, etc. -- then moved on to make such a remarkable mark on the world and have made my life more complete.  I could not miss this gathering of friends and alums!!! –Gary Stano '83
  7. Walk the campus and remember moments. –Carol Hyble '78
  8. Homecoming is a fun time to gather with friends and see the changes on campus. –Virginia (Cloutier) Blandford '02
  9. To revisit old memories and to make new! - Mary Kay Ecken '95
  10. To make sure my alma mater still looks good, and to catch up on seeing my former faculty members.  I also like to see old friends. - Lisa Knowles '94
  11. The goose bumps I get when we stand for the playing of the Alma Mater - David Devine '90
  12. I just plain love Alma and all that it has done for me! - Kevin Stanley '00
  13. Besides enjoying Pizza Sam's... enjoying the football on a crisp and sunny fall day. - Carolyn Schultz '84

More than 100 Alma College students and staff traveled to destinations in New Mexico, Tennessee, Philadelphia, Louisiana and North Carolina for service projects during winter break in February 2007. “Alternative Break service experiences continue to gain popularity on Alma College’s campus,” says Sallie Scheide, assistant director in the Center for Responsible Leadership.
