ALMA FUND

I believe in the Alma Experience

The Alma College ALMA FUND has always been the lifeblood of the College, supporting the critical annual needs and costs of running a busy campus while ensuring the College’s strong progress and development. The College’s greatest need continues to be the scholarships and financial aid that Alma students and their families rely on through the ALMA FUND. The 2010–11 ALMA FUND Drive directly supports the College’s current operating budget of $55.8 million; the average student award for 99% of our students, based on both need and merit, is $23,085 against a cost of $36,280.

The ALMA FUND assists in various ways on campus but is predominantly for student scholarship aid, helping us to attract the best and brightest students. It also allows us to direct gifts where they are needed most on campus. You can also designate:

  • Memorial gifts and In-Honor gifts to assist our students or for designated uses on campus to honor special people in the year; or
  • Gifts for various areas of campus or academic departments to assist current budget.

Students at Alma College are involved in any of nearly 75 campus organizations, including fraternities and sororities, student government, academic honorary societies, campus media, intramural sports, the performing arts and worship groups.

Gene Teeter

Gene Teeter

Gene Teeter, with a song in his heart and a twinkle in his eye, has proven to be a regular contributor to Alma College with annual gifts that support scholarships, the choir and Music Department.

“I support the music program because I can see the results when I go to their concerts,” says Teeter, who considers himself a member of the class of 1950 even though he attended only one year at Alma.

“Even though I’m a graduate of Northwestern, I feel something in my heart for the kids at Alma College,” he says. “I’m still in love with Alma College.”
