Mrs. Nisbet:
I would like to tell you how much I appreciate being a recipient of the Stephen and Norma Nisbet Endowed Scholarship.
I am a junior here at Alma, earning a degree in elementary education. I am minoring in mathematics and integrated science, as well as getting my early childhood endorsement. As I am closer to the end versus the beginning, I now have a greater understanding in how different my educational experience would have been at a larger university. This knowledge makes me even more aware of how important and significant it was for me to have generous donors like you to support me.
Alma College has provided me with many opportunities. I have been able to work in countless classrooms, anywhere from kindergarten to second grade, which is a daily reminder of why I am here. I have been able to get first-hand experience that will only make me more successful in the future. Also, I get to go on an alternative break in Tennessee to work alongside a Cherokee community.
I just want to thank you again for your financial support.
