It is our turn to be the stewards of Alma College. In the 123 years since this amazing legacy began, individuals have genuinely shared their talent, leadership, commitment, and resources to make this a place where people learn how to make a difference in the world.
I invite you to come to campus and also review our Web site. There is so much to be proud of here as our students and faculty members collaborate to accomplish great things. We are focused on raising funds to complete the Hogan Center renovation project. We have raised $2.5 million and have $2 million yet to raise for this renovation that will touch everyone on campus and many visitors as it is our largest venue used for athletic contests, major speakers and commencement. Having Cappert Gymnasium as a practice gym will allow 18 teams of student-athletes space for practice.
We also have identified the Eddy Music Building for expansion. Our instrumental music program has grown to the point that we have run out of practice and storage space. This project is $1.8 million. Your help with either project or your gift to the ALMA Fund would be greatly appreciated. Please call me at 1 800 291-1312 if you would like to talk about these projects. Our campus embraces opportunities for students that reflect longstanding core values at the heart of an Alma College education.
Please get involved with your alma mater. Attend events, both on campus and in your region. Bring your children or grandchildren; campus-legacy students are wonderful to have, and we have a scholarship to honor that relationship. Let neighbors and high school students from your church know what your Alma College education means to you.
We reflect on each other. Your success in part comes from the lessons you learned on campus, and our success is in the way the Alma experience unfolds in your life. Our partnership keeps Alma College strong.
Best wishes from campus,
