- Education: Activities with elementary students before, during and after school for the National School and Community Corps in Philadelphia, Pa.
- Global hunger: Farm work projects and global development issues with Heifer Project International at Overlook Farm in Rutland, Mass.
- HIV/AIDS: Preparing, packing and delivering meals to people with AIDS and other medical challenges at God’s Love We Deliver in New York City, N.Y.
- Rural poverty (faith-based trip): Home repair with the Appalachia Service Project in Chavies, Ky.
