Poseys Receive Toddie Lee Wynne Award

Lee and Sally Souders Posey ‘56 added two more awards to their long list of accomplishments and generous giving to those in need. They received the Austin College Toddie Lee Wynne Award in November 2004 for distinguished service to the college. They also led the effort to establish the all-girls Irma Rangel Young Women’s Leadership School in Dallas, Tex.

Lee, who is on the board of the Young Women’s Leadership School, an all-girls public school in Harlem, formed a foundation to support the Dallas school. His Young Women’s Leadership Foundation of Texas lends financial assistance to the school and its students. Lee is chair of Palm Harbor Homes, a Dallas-based manufactured home manufacturer.

 

Alma is one of only 100 colleges and universities to be named to the Templeton Honor Roll in the Templeton Guide: Colleges That Encourage Character Development.

Terra’s Spring Term experience in China is a tremendous help understanding the relationship the U.S. has with one of its largest trading partners. The business administration major from Monroe has seen first hand the economic effects on southeast Michigan of low-cost imports and Chinese monetary policies.
