I believe in Alma College and know you do too.

As a student, you were given a gift of a lifetime. High expectations, academic challenge, and mentoring by faculty who believed in you and still do. That is what sets Alma apart. My challenge to you today is to ask you to remember the people who made the Alma experience so valuable. Remember the depth and breadth of your experience here. Think of ways people helped you during your student years with financial support, encouragement, and challenge to become the person that they knew you were capable of.

Alma College has been a private College since 1886 and has always thrived because of the passion, commitment and belief alumni, parents, the Presbyterian Churches, and friends had for the type of education Alma delivered. Consider, if you haven’t, making Alma College one of your passions, one of your priorities. Our partnership must be a lifelong endeavor or we stop this amazing legacy. Each of us represents Alma each day out in the world, doing great things. And in turn the achievements and strength of Alma College represents a part of you. The ripples we create in this world unite us in this partnership. And together we can make a difference.

We are the stewards of an extraordinary legacy. I ask you today to consider a gift to help us increase the percentage of alumni who give back. Please answer the Smith Alumni Challenge made by two special people who love and believe in Alma College.

I BELIEVE IN A.C.!

Alma College students have the ability to design their own area of academic concentration, with the assistance of a faculty advisor, to meet specific educational or career goals. In recent years, students have graduated with Programs of Emphasis majors in such fields as arts management, archaeology and anthropology, environmental policy and community advocacy, Foreign Service and international law, and music technology and digital media.
