Alma College is committed to making your educational dreams possible. As a part of this commitment, Alma offers significant scholarships for students. If you are considering attending Alma as a new freshman in the 2008 fall semester, please complete the information below to determine your merit scholarship eligibility.
Please enter your cumulative high school grade point average and your test score. When entering the ACT score use the composite score. If you are entering an SAT score, combine the Critical Reading and the Math and eliminate the Essay score as it is not used in calculating scholarship eligibility.
By virtue of the application for admission, new freshmen who are entering in the fall 2008 semester are automatically considered for one if Alma's merit scholarships.
Please note:
- Merit scholarship recipients must meet all requirements for admission.
- Distinguished Scholar Award recipients receive full tuition at Alma, thus are not eligible for the Trustee Honors', President's, Deans' Scholarships, or Tartan Scholars or Achievement Awards. Recipients of the Distinguished Scholar Award are expected to maintain a 3.0 cumulative Alma grade point average for renewal in subsequent years.
- Trustee Honors Scholarship, President's Scholarship, Deans' Scholarship, Tartan Scholars Award and Achievement Award recipients will receive the highest level of scholarship for which they qualify.
- Recipients of the Trustee Honors Scholarship, President's Scholarship, and Deans' Scholarship are expected to maintain a 3.0 cumulative Alma grade point average for renewal in subsequent years. Recipients of the Tartan Scholars Award and Achievement Award are expected to maintain satisfactory academic progress at Alma College for renewal in subsequent years.
- Need-based scholarship consideration is based on documented need as determined through the information provided on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and availability of funding.
- All final award amounts from Alma College may be adjusted to take into consideration any federal, state or outside aid for which you may qualify.
- Students living off campus are subject to a 25 percent reduction in any Alma College grant and scholarship aid.
