What's New at Alma College?

  • Faculty Involvement - In their four years at Alma, students are much more likely to work closely with faculty than students at other schools. In fact, the average student at Alma reported more student-faculty interaction than 95 percent of students nationwide on the National Survey of Student Engagement for 2006.  Students will be “known” at Alma College.

  • Alma College is among more than 550 institutions that will participate in a new Web-based project that will give prospective students and their parents accurate comparative data to help them when making a decision on which college to attend.

  • Online Advising Site Helps Students Become Proactive. The development of a new student advising and academic sklls Website has been a labor of love for Alma College faculty member Kay Grimnes.

  • The Center for Responsible Leadership hosted former Secretary of State Madeline Albright on Wednesday, September 12 as the keynote speaker for the 2007 Robert D. Swanson Responsible Leadership Speaker Series.  Last year's guests were Senators Bob Dole and George McGovern.

These are just a few of the exciting achievements on Alma’s campus. For the latest happenings, check out the Alma College homepage.

Alma’s off-campus study programs do more than place students in exciting locales to meet interesting people; they also create new opportunities for personal growth and skill development. One of the best ways to learn about other societies and cultures is to study and travel in international settings. You do not always have to know a foreign language.
