The Cost of Private Higher Education

There are a number of myths that surround private higher education, and one of the major myths is that private higher education is too expensive. 

The key for students is that they not opt out early in the process.  We encourage families to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in January and list Alma College (002236). This way they are able to compare all colleges they are considering. 

National studies show that private higher education is attainable and affordable for many students. Thirty-four percent of Alma students participate in intercollegiate athletics. Alma College competes at the NCAA Division III level as a member of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association, the oldest existing athletic conference in the nation.
