Alma's Women's Studies minor allows students to examine women in a holistic yet diversified manner. The minor is applicable to students studying a variety of fields, and includes coursework in the areas of:

  • Communication
  • Political Science
  • English
  • Exercise and Health Science
  • History
  • Religion
  • Sociology

Class Topics

Classes study the challenges, perspectives and accomplishments of women throughout time and in various cultures. There also is a variety of book, video and audio resources available for assisting students in research. The minor allows students to tailor classes based on their interests.
