Ray Antel
Raymond L. Antel IV ’16 – Double majors in English and Philosophy. Ray appeared as Chris/Mark/Dr. Ray/Steve/Waiter/Attendant in The Heidi Chronicles (April 2014), Nick/Nicolas in Force of Nature (February 2014), Simon in Scripted in One-Act Play Festival~2013, Josh Johnson in The Rimers of Eldritch (October 2013), Merriman in The Importance of Being Earnest (April 2013) and Bomber in Picnic (October 2012). At Wayland High School he appeared as Schwartz in A Christmas Story, Jonathon Brewster in Arsenic and Old Lace, Rick Steadman in The Nerd, Shere Khan in The Jungle Book and John Bender in The Breakfast Club.

 

Jake Armentrout ’15 image— Theatre major. Jake was director of Scripted in One-Act Play Festival~2013, appeared as Scoop Rosenbaum in The Heidi Chronicles (April 2014), Ed/Edward in Force of Nature (February 2014), Walter in The Rimers of Eldritch (October 2013), Jack in The Importance of Being Earnest (April 2013), Pete and Phil in Almost, Maine (February 2013), Man in Compatible in One-Act Play Festival~2012 and Hal Carter in Picnic (October 2012). Originally from Michigan, he is a transfer student from New World School of the Arts in Miami, FL. At Vicksburg High School, he appeared as Biff in Death of A Salesman and at Olympic Heights High School, he appeared as Sam in Personals, Al in A Chorus Line and Brindsley in Black Comedy. Jake plans to pursue a career as an actor.

Samantha appeared as Becky/Betsy/Molly/April in The Heidi Chronicles (April 2014), Young Woman/Attendant in Force of Nature (February 2014), Elaine in Scripted in One-Act Play Festival~2013, Lena Truit in The Rimers of Eldritch (October 2013), Dora in The Importance of Being Earnest (April 2013), Woman in Compatible in One-Act Play Festival~2012, Betty Parris in The Crucible (February 2012), Mimi in Check, Please in One-Act Play Festival~2011, a member of the Chorus in Antigone (October 2011), was props master for The Importance of Being Earnest (April 2013), light board operator for Almost, Maine (February 2013), dance choreographer and on makeup crew for Picnic (October 2012) and on wardrobe crew for Months on End (April 2012). While in high school she was a part of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Pride and Prejudice, Just Leave It To Us, The Sting, Candide, Love Labors Lost, Those Crazy Ladies in the House on the Corner, Auntie Mame and Our Gal Sal. After Alma, Samantha hopes to work with children’s theatre.

 

Cody Scott Beebe ’15 image— Theatre major with a minor in Psychology. Cody was director of Twenty Dollar Drinks for One-Act Play Festival~2013, was assistant lighting designer for The Rimers of Eldritch (October 2013), lighting designer for The Importance of Being Earnest (April 2013), sound designer for Almost, Maine (February 2013), lighting designer for Go Look and The Blocking Maneuver in One-Act Play Festival~2012, sound designer and assistant lighting designer for Picnic (October 2012), master electrician for Months on End (April 2012), appeared as Willard and was props master for The Crucible (February 2012), lighting designer for Check, Please for One-Act Play Festival~2011 and assistant stage manager for Antigone (October 2011). He was lighting designer for Grease at Bay View, technical director for a Boyne City Middle School production and for UNVI Opera Camp in Boyne City. After graduation Cody hopes to work in professional theatre.

Tara was production stage manager for The Heidi Chronicles (April 2014), Force of Nature (February 2014), costume designer for Broken Hearts and production stage manager for One-Act Play Festival~2013, production stage manager for The Rimers of Eldritch (October 2013), sound board operator for The Importance of Being Earnest (April 2013), production stage manager for Almost, Maine (February 2013), stage manager for The Blocking Maneuver and So Tell Me About This Guy in One-Act Play Festival~2012, assistant stage manager and props master for Picnic (October 2012), production stage manager for Months on End (April 2012), stage manager for Paternity Ward for One-Act Play Festival~2011, and assistant stage manager for The Crucible (February 2012) and Antigone (October 2011). Tara’s theatre emphasis is stage management.

 — Secondary Education major. Jessica appeared as Dianne in Broken Hearts in One-Act Play Festival~2013 and was on wardrobe crew for The Rimers of Eldritch (October 2013). At Perry High School she appeared in Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio, Peter Pan, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Witness for the Prosecution. She also worked on the light and sound crews and was assistant director for a number of productions.  Jessica hopes to become a high school teacher.

Olyvia was assistant director for The Heidi Chronicles (April 2014), sound board operator for Force of Nature (February 2014), director of Go Look in One-Act Play Festival~2012, appeared as Star in Twenty Dollar Drinks in One-Act Play Festival~2013, Martha Truit in The Rimers of Eldritch (October 2013), Miss Prism in The Importance of Being Earnest (April 2013), Sandrine and Rhonda in Almost Maine (February 2013), Christine Schoenwalder in Picnic (October 2012), Mary Warren in The Crucible (February 2012), Betsy in Affair Play and Sophie in Check, Please in One-Act Play Festival~2011, Ismene in Antigone (October 2011), Belva Collins in Anatomy of Gray (April 2011), Annie in Game Theory in One-Act Play Festival~2010, Jane Carpenter in Smash (October 2010), and was assistant stage manager for Months on End (April 2012) and Dancing at Lughnasa (February 2011). She was president of the drama club at Grosse Pointe North High School where she directed Family 2.0 and appeared in Crazy For You and Brighton Beach Memoirs. Olyvia hopes to continue working in theatre after college.

 

Lauren Cain ’16 image— Double majors in English and History. Lauren was on Hair and makeup crew for The Heidi Chronicles (April 2014), wardrobe crew for One-Act Play Festival~2013, the costume and set crew for The Importance of Being Earnest (April 2013), Almost, Maine (February 2013) and Picnic (October 2012). She attended several theatre camps and was involved in her local community theatre productions of Annie and Fiddler on the Roof. She hopes to pursue law school after graduation.

 

 

 

Susie Christensen-RasmussenSusie Christensen-Rasmussen ’16 — Theatre major. Susie was projection designer, assistant lighting designer and master electrician for The Heidi Chronicles (April 2014), master electrician for Force of Nature (February 2014), lighting designer for Scripted and Don’t Think So Hard in One-Act Play Festival~2013, assistant stage manager and master electrician for The Rimers of Eldritch (October 2013), master electrician for The Importance of Being Earnest (April 2013), master electrician and sound board operator for Almost, Maine (February 2013), lighting designer for Truth and Sex and Anything For You in One-Act Play Festival~2012 and assistant lighting designer for Picnic (October 2012). At Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor she was on lighting crew for Miss Saigon, Oklahoma!, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Footloose, Hairspray and Phantom of the Opera.

  

Joshua Cradduck ’15 image— English major with a Theatre minor. Joshua appeared as Preacher/Judge in The Rimers of Eldritch (October 2013), as Drilling in The Blocking Maneuver in One-Act Play Festival~2012, was light board operator for One-Act Play Festival~2013 and costume designer for Truth and Sex in One-Act Play Festival~2012.

Sara Day ’15 image— Double majors in English and Theatre. Sara was director of Don’t Think So Hard in One-Act Play Festival~2013, appeared as Jill/Denise/Debbie in The Heidi Chronicles (April 2014), Mittler in Force of Nature (February 2014), Mary Windrod in The Rimers of Eldritch (October 2013), Helen Potts in Picnic (October 2012) and Sarah Good in The Crucible (February 2012). She was on wardrobe crew for The Importance of Being Earnest (April 2013), assistant stage manager for Almost, Maine (February 2013), stage manager for Go Look in One-Act Play Festival~2012, props master for Months on End (April 2012), stage manager for Check, Please for One-Act Play Festival~2011 and worked makeup and hair crew for Antigone (October 2011). Sara hopes to attend graduate school after Alma.


Jessica Ferguson ’16 image— Double majors in Biology and Theatre. Jessica was on wardrobe crew for The Heidi Chronicles (April 2014), stage manager of Broken Hearts in One-Act Play Festival~2013 and assistant stage manager for The Importance of Being Earnest (April 2013). At Goodrich High School she was theatre intern for one year, directed a one-act play and was student director for Fiddler on the Roof and Harvey, student director and in the chorus for The Apple Tree and was student director and did projections for Days of Possibilities.

 

  

Mackensie Garlow ’15 image— Dance major. Mackensie was costume designer for Twenty Dollar Drinks in One-Act Play Festival~2013. She has been an active member of Alma College Dance Company and has danced in every dance concert since her freshman year.  She was the lead soloist in Happy Young Pioneers and in Pa de Quatre. She hopes to join a dance company and continue dancing after graduation.

 

 

 

Tony Garza ’17 image— Business Administration major. Tony was stage manager of Twenty Dollar Drinks in One-Act Play Festival~2013 and appeared as The Husband and Attendant in Force of Nature (February 2014) and Robert Conklin in The Rimers of Eldritch (October 2013). At Woodhaven High School he appeared in Godspell, Is He Dead?, The Importance of Being Earnest and Back To The 80’s. He hopes to eventually own a restaurant or become a marketing executive.

 

  

Paige Gasper ’17 image— Philosophy major with a Theatre minor. Paige was on wardrobe crew for The Heidi Chronicles (April 2014), hair and makeup crew for Force of Nature (February 2014), stage manager of Birdbrain in One-Act Play Festival~2013 and assistant stage manager for The Rimers of Eldritch (October 2013).  She appeared in Steel Magnolias, Do Not Go Gentle, But Why Bump Off Barnaby and The Savage Dilemma at Standish-Sterling High School.  After Alma College she hopes to attend law school.

 

  

Emma Hogan ’17 image— History major with a minor in Theatre. Emma was on running crew for The Heidi Chronicles (April 2014), stage manager for the Alma College Dance Company Spring Concert~2014, lighting designer and light board operator for Force of Nature (February 2014), lighting designer for the Student Choreograpers Concert (January 2014), costume designer for Scripted and on running crew for One-Act Play Festival~2013 and worked on the set and lighting crew for The Rimers of Eldritch (October 2013). At Maine South High School she was paint crew head and worked as both assistant stage manager and stage manager.

 

Riley Hubbard ’15 image— History major with a minor in Theatre. Riley was costume designer for Don’t Think So Hard in One-Act Play Festival~2013, lighting designer for Student Choreographers Concert~2014 and Student Choreographers Concert~2013, sound board operator for Months on End (April 2012) and has worked on the set crew and light crew for The Rimers of Eldritch (October 2013), The Importance of Being Earnest (April 2013), Almost, Maine (February 2013), Picnic (October 2012), The Crucible (February 2012), One-Act Play Festival~2011 and Antigone (October 2011).

Nate appeared as Curt/The Count in Force of Nature (February 2014), Alan in Don’t Think So Hard in One-Act Play Festival~2013, Peck Johnson in The Rimers of Eldritch (October 2013), Lane in The Importance of Being Earnest (April 2013), Steve and Chad in Almost, Maine (February 2013), Keith in Truth and Sex and was costume designer for Compatible in One-Act Play Festival~2012, appeared as Chris in Months on End (April 2012) and Giles Corey in The Crucible (February 2012). He hopes to pursue a career as a clinical psychologist.

 


Erica Kamm
 ’14 image— Math major with a minor in Chemistry. Erica appeared as an Attendant in Force of Nature (February 2014), Margaret in Broken Hearts and was costume designer for Birdbrain in One-Act Play Festival~2013, appeared as Mavis Johnson in The Rimers of Eldritch (October 2013), Rebecca Nurse in The Crucible (February 2012), Colleen in Paternity Ward in One-Act Play Festival~2011, a member of the Chorus in Antigone (October 2011) and Paula in Game Theory in One-Act Play Festival~2010. She was light board operator for The Heidi Chronicles (April 2014), assistant stage manager for The Importance of Being Earnest (April 2013), on wardrobe crew for Almost, Maine (February 2013), assistant stage manager for Months on End (April 2012), props manager for Dancing at Lughnasa (February 2011) and on wardrobe crew for Smash (October 2010).  She was actively involved in theatre at her local community theatre and with her high school theatre program in Battle Creek where she was president of the International Thespian Society and appeared in The Man Who Came To Dinner and Brighton Beach Memoirs

Hannah was assistant stage manager for Almost, Maine (February 2013), appeared as Susan Johnston in The Heidi Chronicles (April 2014), Celeste in Don’t Think So Hard in One-Act Play Festival~2013, Evelyn Jackson in The Rimers of Eldritch (October 2013), Lady Bracknell in The Importance of Being Earnest (April 2013), Angie in So Tell Me About This Guy and was costume designer for Go Look in One-Act Play Festival~2012, appeared as Rosemary Sydney in Picnic (October 2012), Paige in Months on End (April 2012), Judge Hathorne in The Crucible (February 2012) and Messenger in Antigone (October 2011). After Alma, Hannah plans to pursue graduate school in English.

 

Katherine Kurz ’15 image— Double majors in English and Theatre. Katie appeared as Attendant in Force of Nature (February 2014) and Linda in Check, Please in One-Act Play Festival~2011. She hopes to pursue a career as a professor of English and write novels.

Erin appeared as Lucy/Lucianne in Force of Nature (February 2014), Elaine in Birdbrain in One-Act Play Festival~2013, Kath in Go Look in One-Act Play Festival~2012, was on wardrobe crew for The Heidi Chronicles (April 2014), sound board operator for The Rimers of Eldritch (October 2013) and on wardrobe crew for The Importance of Being Earnest (April 2013). At Sparta High School she appeared in West Side Story, Taming of the Shrew and Grease. Erin was also active with Sparta Community Theatre where she appeared in Bye Bye Birdie and Music Man.

 

 

Lydia Prebeck ’15 — Program of Emphasis in Global Health. Lydia has been a scene shop assistant since the fall of 2011, was master carpenter for The Heidi Chronicles (April 2014), Force of Nature (February 2014) and worked on set crew for The Rimers of Eldritch (October 2013), The Importance of Being Earnest (April 2013), Almost, Maine (February 2013), Picnic (October 2012), Months On End (April 2012), The Crucible (February 2012) and Antigone (October 2011).

 — Integrative Physiology and Health Science major. Shanyn appeared as Marla in So Tell Me About This Guy in One-Act Play Festival~2012 and was on wardrobe crew for Force of Nature (February 2014), One-Act Play Festival~2013, The Importance of Being Earnest (2013) and Picnic (October 2012). At Mercy High School she appeared as Mrs. Mullins in Carousel, Pepper in Annie, Rosa Maserati in Murdering the Mob and was on costume crew for Little Women. She hopes to pursue a career as a registered dietitian.

 

 

Tara Riedel ’13 Tara Riedel - 2013 Alma Graduate— Theatre Intern. With Alpha Psi Omega, Tara appeared as Chloe in Wake (May 2010) and Edna in The Whole Shebang (May 2010). She also appeared in Savage/Love and assistant directed Here We Are (May 2011).

 

Emily Roberge - 2014 Alma GraduateEmily Roberge ’14 — Double majors in English and Theatre.  Emily appeared as Heidi Holland in The Heidi Chronicles (April 2014), Charlotte in Force of Nature (February 2014), Betty in Twenty Dollar Drinks in One-Act Play Festival~2013, Nelly Windrod in The Rimers of Eldritch (October 2013), Gwendolen in The Importance of Being Earnest (April 2013), Glory and Gayle and Marci in Almost, Maine (February 2013), Heidi in Months on End (April 2012), Mercy Lewis in The Crucible (February 2012), Mary in Check, Please in One-Act Play Festival~2011, Antigone in Antigone (October 2011), June Muldoon in Anatomy of Gray (April 2011), Rose in Dancing at Lughnasa (February 2011), Claire in Two Truths And A Lie and was costume designer for Misreadings in One-Act Play Festival~2010 and appeared as Agatha Wylie in Smash (October 2010). Emily was in London for the fall term of 2012 where she studied at Regent’s College London. She hopes to attend graduate school after Alma.

Michelle TharpMichelle Tharp ’16 — Theatre major. After Alma, she hopes to attend graduate school in theatre.

 

 

Rachael Yoho ’17 image— Political Science major with a minor in Theatre. Rachael appeared as Wilma Atkins in The Rimers of Eldritch (October 2013) and was on running crew for One-Act Play Festival~2013. She appeared in Treasure Island, Seussical, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe at Davis Performing Arts. She also appeared in Three Billy Goats Gruff at Opera Columbus and in The Ugly Duckling at Columbus Children’s Theatre. Rachael hopes to pursue a career as a lawyer in civil law.
