Whether you’re a graduate with opportunities and advice to share, or find yourself in need of a little career advice, we’d love to connect with you!
Career services and development is about much more than making sure our students know how to find jobs. It is about helping students and alumni build the skills necessary to enter and advance within the workplace after your time at Alma College. We continue to strengthen the Alma College network for both students and alumni, which includes providing opportunities for alumni to give back in meaningful ways. We’re also committed to lending a hand to alumni who could use some career assistance; after all, once you’re part of the Alma family, you can always come back home.
Ways to Get Involved
We count on alumni participation to make events like Career EXPLO, the Chicago In-City Interview Program and on-campus alumni mock interviews successful. Registration forms for each will be available around the time of each event.
We also welcome alumni who would like to assist us on a more individual basis. If there’s a way you’d like to help, let’s discuss your potential involvement in our programming.
And finally, we’d love to have you pass along job/internship openings in your organization! We’ll post them on PlaidLink, our job board, and can also promote them via social media and direct outreach to qualified students. All positions should be appropriate for current students or new graduates; if you have a higher level opening to share, we encourage you to join our LinkedIn group, Alma Connecting Together, and announce it there for more established alumni.
Ways We Can Help
We are happy to provide career advice to alumni, whether you’re a recent grad or have been out for some time. Typical services include résumé/cover letter critique and discussions of suggested search strategies, but if you have another need, just let us know.
