Workstudy -Community Service
A limited number of community service workstudy positions are available off campus in the Alma area. Listed below are examples of positions that students can apply for that meet community service workstudy eligibility.
- Alma Public Schools - (Explore Program) After School academic mentoring, recreation, and enrichment programs
- America Reads/Math Counts Tutoring at varous locations: Alma Public Schools, Head Start Program, Reading Buddies Program at Hillcrest Elementary, and other elementary locations
- Big Brothers Big Sisters Program - Mentoring Coordinator position
- United Way - Public Relations position 10 hours per week (within walking distance)
- Mid Michigan Am. Red Cross Service Center - Communication Aide
- Women's Aid Service - Crisis Line Shelter Position
- Other positions can be established with non-profit service agencies
