Lexis Nexis Congressional Publications
This database offers access to a variety of information by and about the United States Congress, including indexes of congressional publications, legislative histories for public laws, testimony from congressional hearings, the Congressional Record, and information about members and committees. Access through Lexis Nexis on the Finding Articles section of the Alma College Library home page.

ProQuest Law Module
This collection of 185 selected law journals includes many full-text resources.

FedStats.gov
Window to the full range of official statistical information available to the public from the Federal Government. From this site, one can track economic and population trends, education, health care costs, aviation safety, foreign trade, energy use, farm production, and more. Also allows access to official statistics collected and published by more than 100 Federal agencies without having to know in advance which agency produces them.

Michigan Legislature
Site includes access to Michigan Compiled Laws and House and Senate bills. Also provides full-text access to the Michigan Manual.

National Security Archive
An archive of declassified U.S. documents obtained through the Freedom of Information Act and the world's largest non-governmental library of declassified documents.

Decisions of the US Supreme Court
Searchable database of the full text of Court decisions since 1991. Selected historical cases also available.

FindLaw
FindLaw is "the highest-trafficked legal Web site, providing the most comprehensive set of legal resources on the Internet for legal professionals, businesses, students and individuals. These resources include Web search utilities, cases and codes, legal news, and an online career center.

GPO Access
Search many Government Printing Office documents- Congressional Directory, Federal Register, US Manual, Public Laws, US Code.

Records of Congress (National Archives and Records Administration)
NARA oversees the management of all Federal records. Records of Congress include the records of the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate, beginning with the First Congress in 1789.

Supreme Court of the United States
The Supreme Court website has been developed by the Court and the Government Printing Office, and is being hosted by GPO. Initially, the website will provide access to the Court's 1999 Term slip opinions, 1999 Term orders, argument calendar, schedules, Rules, bar admission forms and instructions, visitors' guides, case-handling guides, special notices, press releases, and general information. A link will also be provided to the Court's "bench" opinions on GPO's Federal Bulletin Board.

Alma College's partnership with the Pine River Superfund Citizen Task Force, an EPA-sanctioned Community Advisory Group (CAG), received the 2008 Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Partnership Award for Campus-Community Collaboration, sponsored by Michigan Campus Compact. The Task Force is recognized as one of the most influential and active CAGs nationally and as having the largest membership of any CAG in the United States.
