Are you looking for ways to expand your leadership skills beyond your high school boundaries? Do you want to make a difference in the world but are unsure of how to start?

The Alma College High School Leadership Institute is open to current high school juniors. While at Alma, you will develop leadership capabilities and an understanding of the complexity of local, state and global economic and technological changes. You’ll be immersed into the study and practice of leadership through workshops, case analysis and experiential activities.

You will:

  • Gain an appreciation for the current reality in the world today.
  • Create a vision for the future to which they are committed.
  • Learn skills to help lead their community to the life and world they envision.
  • Create lasting friendships and develop tools to work with different personalities.

Alma College's Center for Responsible Leadership has partnered with the ART of Leadership Foundation to bring ALF's proven leadership curriculum to Alma's campus and give students a real world leadership experience.

Alma students can explore the environmental wonders of the Galapagos Islands, practice Spanish language skills, study Ecuadorian culture, complete coursework in business finance, and fulfill a South American internship in entrepreneurship through Alma College's one-of-a-kind partnership with Equatorialis University in Quito, Ecuador.
