Off-Campus Studies

Welcome to the Alma College Academic and Career Planning Office.

Alma College and Academic and Career Planning believe that one of the best ways to learn about other societies and cultures is to study and travel in international settings. Alma's off-campus studies programs do more than place students in exciting locales to meet interesting people; they also create new opportunities for personal growth and skill development.

On the following pages, you'll find lots of information about international education and study abroad opportunities, including information about internships, funding, international project funding, and much more. If you don't find what you're searching for, please contact us.

The new office is located in the lower level of the Kehrl Library on the Alma College campus. You can reach us at 1-800-321-ALMA if you're off campus or at extension 7247 if you're calling from on campus. You can also e-mail us at OffCampusStudies@alma.edu.

Spring Term at Alma is a one-month immersion on a single academic topic that offers learning experiences not typically available during the more traditional 15-week fall and winter terms. For example, during Spring Term '09, students toured cultural sites in Peru, studied alternative energy in Sweden, analyzed theatre and dance in London, and examined Native American culture at the Crazy Horse Memorial in South Dakota.
