A successful international business career requires a strong foundation of business knowledge, the ability to think globally, and a commitment to understanding diverse cultures. That’s true whether you see yourself heading up the Paris office of a large multi-national company or starting up an internet company to sell a locally-made product to overseas markets.
Are you good with languages?
The international business administration major integrates the study of foreign language and culture with a solid business foundation. The program includes 32 credits in business and 24 credits in either French, German, Spanish or Chinese. Your language courses will help you understand the conversation, civilizations, culture, history and literature of other countries. Your business courses will provide a global perspective with a focus upon strategic analysis, business planning, and communication skills.
Alma College offers several experiences to expand your knowledge and appreciation for cultural differences and opportunities. You might consider a semester abroad through one of our exchange agreements with colleges in Australia, Austria, Belgium, China, France, Italy, Spain and many other countries or take a Spring Term travel course.
