High School Leadership Academy

Are you interested in starting your own business? What does it mean to be an entrepreneur? What industries will emerge in the next twenty years?
These and many other questions will be examined during Alma College’s 2015 High School Leadership Academy.

The Entrepreneurial Spirit: Be the Boss

As a participant, you will be actively involved in all aspects of creating and starting your own business. You will have the opportunity to:

  • contribute to discussions on topics such as needs assessment, locational decisions, creation of a business plan and obtaining financing
  • visit a number of businesses where you will receive first-hand knowledge and get to talk with successful entrepreneurs
  • explore the critical leadership skills that are required to successfully create your own business with the guidance of faculty and entrepreneurial experts
  • brainstorm your own ideas about creating a successful business or product with other participants, faculty and experienced entrepreneurs
