Solutions for a Healthier America: Building Tomorrow’s Leaders in Healthcare

Interested in a career in health? What does “health” mean to you? How does the U.S. population compare globally in health outcomes? You’ll examine these questions and more during Alma College’s 2014 High School Leadership Academy.
- Explore various health care professions through role playing exercises and site visits to local healthcare facilities.
- Expand your leadership skills through interactive sessions and critical reflection.
- Work with Alma College faculty to design solutions for major challenges to health care in the United States.
Students currently in their junior year of high school are encouraged to apply to this residential program. Applications are requested by May 15 and confirmation packets will be sent by June 1. A $50 deposit is requested with the application and is refundable before June 1. The total cost to participants is $200. The academy is made possible through the generous support of the Responsible Leadership Institute and the Integrated Health Studies Institute of Alma College.
