Why did you choose Alma?
I chose Alma because it had the academic tradtion and athletic opportunities I wanted present in my college experience.
What have you been involved in on-campus?
I have been part of the men's varsity soccer team and
the men's varsity basketball team. I have also helped with the
Alma College Intramurals and mentored freshmen basketball players.
What do you see as strengths of Alma?
The relationships you are able to build with your professors is one of the greatest strengths Alma has to offer. My education professors (Dr. Navarro and Dr. Thelen) have assisted me and provided me with opportunities that I never would have been able to receive at a different school.How do you feel Alma has prepared you for teaching?
Alma has provided me with several placements that have
greatly influenced my education. I have spent time at many
different schools and many different grade levels, and these
experiences, along with rigorous methods classes, have given me lots of
insight into teaching.
Do you have a favorite experience through the Education Department at Alma?
The semester I took all of my methods classes was the most memorable, because it was so hands-on and stimulating. I enjoyed gathering different ideas for my own class, observing teachers in action, and studying different methods to teaching specific subjects.
