Commercial Test Preparation Services

Most pre-law advisors agree that a highly motivated, self-disciplined student who typically does well on nationally-normed tests can prepare on his/her own for the LSAT without taking a "crash course." However, while there are no guarantees that such a course will significantly improve anyone's LSAT score, some students say they have benefited from such a course, whether it involves an actual class or home study. Some of these test preparation services are pricey. Check out as many of them as you can before deciding whether a "crash course" is right for you. The Pre-Law Coordinator has brochures for most of these programs in his office (SAC 355).

We have a criminal jury system which is superior to any in the world; and its efficiency is only marred by the difficulty of finding twelve men every day who don't know anything and can't read.  -Mark Twain

The Corporation for National and Community Service named Alma College to the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll in both 2008 and 2009 for exemplary service efforts and service to disadvantaged youth. The Honor Roll is the highest federal recognition a school can achieve for its commitment to service-learning and civic engagement.
