Graduate Profile: Jason Bandlow
Jason Bandlow is using the knowledge he gained as a student at Alma College to teach future students.
After receiving his Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of California - San Diego, Bandlow will work at the University of California - Davis as a post-doctoral researcher for the 2007-2008 school year.
"Ever since I was young, I've been attracted to the beauty of mathematics," he says.
After his research, Bandlow hopes to continue his career teaching mathematics at a research institution.

Completing his undergraduate education in Mathematics and Computer Science at Alma in 1997, he received a master's degree in computer and information science from the University of Michigan - Dearborn in 1999 and a master's degree in mathematics from Colorado Sate University in 2002.
"I was attracted to Alma because it was a small, academically strong college that was close to home," he says.
While at Alma, he ran cross-country and track, was a resident assistant, and was a member of the Young Democrats and the ACM programming team.
