Ever since I was young, I've been attracted to the beauty of mathematics.

Completing his undergraduate education in Mathematics and Computer Science at Alma in 1997, he received a master's degree in computer and information science from the University of Michigan - Dearborn in 1999 and a master's degree in mathematics from Colorado Sate University in 2002.

"I was attracted to Alma because it was a small, academically strong college that was close to home," he says.

While at Alma, he ran cross-country and track, was a resident assistant, and was a member of the Young Democrats and the ACM programming team.

More than a third of all Alma students take part in at least one performance each year. The College offers majors in theatre, dance and music, but students of all majors may join in productions. The Remick Heritage Center for the Performing Arts is the region’s premiere performing arts facility.
