Minor Requirements
- Core: 14 credits consisting of ENV 105, 110, 480 and RSP 225.
- Choice of three of the following courses for a minimum of 10 credits: POL 141; ECN 340; COM 253; and ENV 380, 385 or 499.
Programs
The Alma College Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team claimed its sixth consecutive regional championship at the SIFE USA Regional Competition in March 2007. The competition awards the SIFE teams that are most effective in teaching the principals of market economics through outreach projects in their communities.

Kim Scheerer has always been interested in the outdoors, but she was attracted to the environmental studies minor at Alma because of the hands-on instruction.
“I believe my studies at Alma College have given me the background and framework necessary to understand both local and global ecosystems,” the 1999 graduate says, “and the ability to transfer those skills to the professional level.”
