Student Profile: Brandon Smith
Brandon Smith hopes his interest in the human body combined with his major in exercise and health science will earn him a spot in medical school in the fall of 2008.
“The Exercise and Health Science Department at Alma has classes that focus on function in physiology, structure in anatomy and even pathology in human diseases,” the Harrisville senior says. “I hope that I will discover an area of medicine that will call me in the way that the EHS program here did.”
Having attended a small high school, Smith was looking to find a small college to mimic that experience.

The chemistry minor is involved in a variety of academic activities including research, being a teaching assistant for two classes and tutoring. He also is president of the EHS honorary and a member of the Chemistry and National Leadership honorary societies.
Smith also plays football and runs track for the Alma Scots, and has volunteered in Louisiana and Georgia.
