Back from San Diego!

Senior students David Lapham and Jane Macdonald, along with Dr. Joe Beckmann, attended the 2008 Experimental Biology meeting held in San Diego, April 5-9.

All three presented research posters that detailed their recent work. Both David and Jane were awarded Honorable Mention at the Undergraduate Poster Competition session sponsored by the American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Congratulate them for this recognition!

Alma is one of seven Michigan colleges and universities to hold membership in the Omicron Delta Kappa Society, the national leadership society that recognizes and encourages superior scholarship, leadership and exemplary character. The College also has 19 other national departmental honor societies....

David Lapham appreciates the challenge of the biochemistry major and feels it will give him an edge in medical school.
